As part of UChicago’s Online Orientation we invite you to play Haven, a multimedia role-playing game that is designed to introduce you to UChicago’s academic culture, and to help you form connections with other students before arriving on campus this fall.
There are many ways to play Haven. It offers pathways focused on interactive storytelling, puzzle solving, and social interaction. The game allows you to develop skills in free inquiry and expression, to practice engaging with different viewpoints, and to test and refine your ideas. Created by the Weston Game Lab and the Parrhesia Program for Public Thought and Discourse, Haven offers an immersive experience where players navigate challenges and opportunities in a vibrant island setting.
The game launches on Tuesday, July 30 and new levels will be released on a regular basis through August. You can log into the world of Haven using your CNET ID and all progress will be saved as you play.
