Students on UChicago Campus

College Curriculum

The Parrhesia undergraduate curriculum is focused on scholarship and practice of public discourse. It is designed for students who wish to develop their understanding of the pluralistic public sphere, and to gain practical experience in persuasion and dialogue across difference. Most of the Parrhesia courses involve students in projects that address community problems and/ or result in research products.

The Parrhesia curriculum includes a wide range of elective courses that engage the ideal of free expression with an emphasis on civic purpose. Beyond course offerings, we work with students and faculty wishing to bring more engaged dialogue into their classrooms.
